'Le Feu Sacre' Starter Scenario
A couple of weeks ago we enjoyed our first game of LFSIII for some time.  Recently I've been hosting lots
of ACW games so it made a nice change to dust off the Napoleonics and unleash the dogs of war.

The chaps I game with all thought that it might be nice to share the scenario with others as it would make
an ideal starter scenario for learning the rules.  It has lots of possiblities and we had a lot of fun.

The scenario is set in Autumn 1813 and pits a small French force against a small Prussian force.  It is
suitable for a club night and 2-3 players per side perhaps lasting about three hours long.

The full scenario and orbats are here:

Someone said I hadn't shown any pictures of my Prussians on this site .  Well, below you can see the set up
and a few pics from our recent game to wet your appetite.  Paul and Clive played French, Max and Nige
Prussians.  I won't go into the details but it was a hard fought draw.

Table set up.  The fields are for aesthetics only.  In my book you can never have too many fields.

                                                                           Blinds racing for the BUA's

French light cavalry are spotted early making a recce in force...

They manage to do their job though and spot three Prussian blinds ovelapping.
If one is spotted all are spotted...

Lots of little men in very dark blue singing Psalms.  Elan they call's it...

Reservists and Landwehr back up the Regulars in the front line....

Note the rifle armed Freiwilliger Jagers screening the advance and supporting the artillery,
whilst the skirmish factor 2 Fusiliers get ready to attack the village.

Reservists with Landwehr cavalry in support...

The French, deftly led by Marechal Cunard (who obviously got his uniform as a cast off from Murat)
keep on coming in the same old style...

                                                                    Screened by the light cavalry...

LFS III rewards depth.  Now that is what you call a deep formation designed to not run in the face of
                                                                                           Prussian Elan...

It worked.  Er, are we down to the Landwehr already?....

1st Silesian Hussars, flanking Reservists, supported by Landwehr...
